Membership

From SOFA Bylaws:

ARTICLE I

MEMBERS

           

                        Membership shall be open to those persons who:

(a)  are actively engaged in forensic anthropology casework and are employed                                   or consulting for a medical examiner, coroner's office or related                                                   by government agency at the time of application;

(b)  have demonstrated their ongoing contribution to the field of forensic                                                anthropology through case analysis, academic research and/or                                                    governmental policy making;

(c)  have obtained a master of arts, master of science or doctor of                                                        philosophy degree in anthropology (or related field) with a focus on                                            physical anthropology and graduate training in forensic anthropological                                    casework; and

(d)  have agreed to sign the Guidelines for Professional Conduct, as                                                such document is updated from time to time by the Membership                                            Committee.



Qualified individuals can get application materials using the links below. Materials should be sent to the SOFA Secretary for review by the SOFA Membership Committee. Applicant must send a completed application, CV, signed ethics form and employment certification letter for review. Annual dues are $50. Email secretary.sofainc@gmail.com with any questions.
